Hello you lovely lot!

I hope you’re enjoying my latest fic! I know there’s been a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of my writing. I’ve had a really tough time since around November last year, and after months of medication balancing, rehab, intesive therapy and self-work, I’m finally– thankfully –in a much better place.

I want to apologise if any of it caused you stress or upset in any way.

Since recovering, I’ve been able to think more logically about the future of my writing, old and new, and I think I’ve come to my conclusion.

So without further ado, let me introduce you to….

The Publishing Hive will be replacing my website as of late October.

So what is The Publishing Hive?

The Publishing Hive is a website that is designed for online authors to come together and sell their published works digitally in PDF form. Think the “Shop” side of my website, where you’ve been able to buy PDFS of my fics, but on a bigger scale with more authors in one place.

For the time being, this site will just be for me to publish my stories reworked as originals under the different pennames I will be using for different genres/story types. But in the long term, I hope to be able to bring in other writers to use this platform too. Each “author” will have their own section of the website with information about them and a list of all their works for sale.

The Publishing Hive will primarily be focussed on original works, but I will be keeping a section of the site dedicated to Negans-Lucille-Tblr to continue posting and sharing my fanfics.

So what does this mean for my members?

The plan (and hope) is that nothing will drastically change for my members. Your membership will still be active (but may now show up as “The Publishing Hive” instead of “Negans-Lucille-Tblr”), and you will still gain access to members exclusive content. If you use the app, my posts/chapters should still appear as they always do in your feed. If you access the chapters directly from the website, you’ll just need to head to the “Negans-Lucille-Tblr” section of the site.

Due to my lifestyle changing in the last year or so, I have decided to officially change my posting schedule. You might have noticed that I have reduced posting to once a week, and this will be the official posting schedule going forward too, for the foreseeable.

What will the balance between Fanfic and Original Stories be?

As far as my members are concerned, in terms of regular posting, the weekly post will always be fanfic. Nothing will change in that respect.

You have probably seen or heard that I’ve deleted a lot of my content from my tumblr page, and my plans are to slowly go through those stories, turn them into originals and potentially heavily edit those that I think might need a overhaul. They will then be released as original stories under whichever penname of mine they will best suit.

Do I need to change my membership at all?

No, if you want to remain a member and access all the exclusive fanfic content, then you can keep everything as it is. The plan is to replace the URL of my current website to the new URL, so things should be rerouted. Obviously, I haven’t put this into full action yet, so it’s mainly a hopeful theory for now, so there may be a teething problem or two along the way.

When will the change over take place?

I plan on taking my website offline from the 21st of October until the 1st of November to redesign the website accordingly and make sure everything is working as it should. I will be returning to posting on the 2nd November with a new fic TBA.
